I am pumped to go out with these fine musicians.

Some of you know that I am a drummer. It was my first instrument and I am thrilled to start the rumour that on this tour, there is a good chance you’ll find me occasionally sitting in with Screen Door Porch on drums, maybe even singing some backup.

There is also a good chance that you’ll occasionally see Aaron Davis and Seadar Rose of Screen Door Porch sneak of onstage to lend backup vocals, slide guitar and who knows what other delicious flavors to my set. I really look forward to the collaboration.

Can you believe it’s March? Time for March Madness, Spring, and of course, the music, film, interactive, BBQ and Queso drenched fun of SXSW.

That’s right, it’s time to get back down to Austin.

We are thrilled to announce Benyaro’s Ben Musser will be appearing at the 14th Annual Brooklyn Country Cantina, an incredible party/show curated by Brooklyn, NY’s alt-country post-punk roots band, The Defibulators.

Boasting an incredible lineup, the Brooklyn Country Cantina will feature roots music out of Texas and New York City on 2 stages on Friday & Saturday March 15 & 16. Pearl & The Beard, Thunderado, The Lonesome Heroes, Benyaro, The Defibulators and many more will grace the stage in 2 full days of music.

In addition to the Brooklyn Country Cookout, Benyaro’s Ben Musser will also perform at The Lonesome Heroes’ Tofu BBQ on Saturday March 16, and there are rumours of another appearance at the East side blues dive, El Leon, also on Saturday afternoon.

The Infamous Stringdusters are doing something right:  earning critical acclaim, awards, and nominations aplenty; hosting their own successful music festival; forging their own record label, High Country Recordings; and quickly growing and enthusiastic fan base across the country. They sound like no one else, combining virtuosic chops on five traditional bluegrass instruments, with an ethos of pushing the genre forward. The Stringdusters’ live show takes improvised string band music to new places, combining musicianship and songwriting with experimental performance and contagious energy flowing between the band and crowd.   And with “Silver Sky”, the first studio album on High Country Recordings, the band showcases their progressive nature and proficiency in the recording studio.

Happy 2013!

We are excited to announce that Benyaro will kick off 2013 showcasing at Sundance Film Festival!

Our recording of “Bullet-Like Belief”, a Scott Claassen tune off of BENYARO, was used in an indie film (then turned into a TV miniseries!) called Our Longest Drive in 2012. Now we’re hungry for more of the film industry! Park City…Los Angeles, here we come!

If you know any folks who’ll be down there please send them to one of Ben’s performances at the HP LIVE LOUNGE (@ Main and Heber) right next to the Sundance House. The shows are NO COVER and they serve HOT CHOCOLATE and BEER!!

Happy Holidays from Benyaro.

It has been snowing steadily all day here in the place I call home; Wyoming. It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas, actually, and with that in mind, here is a link to download our new Christmas album.

We are, however, not ashamed to pimp out our new recording and brand new MUSIC VIDEO of the late Blaze Foley’s “Clay Pigeons”.  Blaze’s real name was Michael Fuller for all you music buffs, and Benyaro’s recording of his tune appears on our new release, THE COVER EP.
